It amazes me just how little information the human brain needs to recognize a shape. These shapes were done very quickly while I was standing outside at the beach on the boardwalk. It's a cold day, so people are dressed warmly. I penciled in a bit and them did a wash of a combo of Burnt Sienna and Ultramarine Blue watercolor using a brush pen. The logo for the festival I did later in my home. I love to do this as practice. My goal is to develop muscle memory for human shapes to add to my art journal sketching.
